I Will Be FreeTheres a quiet voice inside Growing louder still Listening to it call I cannot take my fillI Will Be Free
Something draws me back Chains me to the floor I cannot find my wings There is no open door
No freedom to be found Trapped inside a box Walls of my own making Fear-made iron locks
Perhaps instead to grow Will be my only way Stretch down into the earth Rooted I will stay
But upwards I will move Sprouting a new me Finding rhythm in the wind In this I will be free

I Can RememberI can remember our laughter Heads tilted back Eyes shining wetly A thrill of excitement Rushing The cackle of joy A moment of one-ness We laugh together We live together The world is beautiful Breathe And laugh againI Can Remember

Graduation Speech Spring 2009Good morning, and may I first say, congratulations graduates, we did it. Also, I would like to thank all of our family and friends who have joined us, not just in celebration of this achievement, but who have also supported us during this long journey. Your gifts of love and faith are priceless, and without them many of us would not be here today.Graduation Speech Spring 2009
This is actually my second graduation from TSTC, and on both occasions I have heard people talk about graduation being the end of one journey and the start of a new one, as though they are not connected by anything but distant relation. So it would seem that this journey began the first

Inside My HeartThere are words inside my heart And no matter how hard I try I can not shut them out They will never, ever dieInside My Heart
Every day that passes Every moon that's new Every sun that rises I still come back to you
It hurts me to remember It's impossible to forget This deep abiding hunger These thousand and one regrets
These words will never leave me This dream is all to real Tomorrow is approaching Today is very still
